New FBI director Kash Patel was also sworn in on Monday as the acting head of the Alcohol, Tobacco Office, firearms and explosives (ATF), while taking the helm from two separate Ministry of Justice.

Patel was sworn in to lead the ATF days after taking an oath to lead the FBI after a controversial confirmation process in which Democrats gained alarms about his lack of management experience, including claims.
In response to the news, the American Rep. Robin Kelly, D-On. Patel “A Pit-LobbyPop that does not have a company that leads the FBI or the ATF.”
Republicans have long Pushed on ATF rules that regulate access to firearms.
The National Rifle Association (NRA) said that the appointment of Patel was a scoop in reforming the agency.

President Donald Trump has not made clear what his plans are for the ATF, which has long been a target for congress republicans. The office is charged with maintaining the laws of the nation with regard to firearms, explosives and arson.
