Kansas singer Ronnie Platt revealed that he has was diagnosed with cancer While the rock band has canceled several shows.
Platt, 64, seemed in a good mood after his diagnosis while he shared a statement on Facebook about his health.
“For all of you asked, Tuesday I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but before everyone becomes completely enthusiastic, it has a survival percentage of 99%, it has not spread,” ” Platt wrote on February 15. “It is absorbed in my thyroid gland. I just have to have my thyroid removed. Go through a rehabilitation time and be back in the saddle.”
“I sincerely appreciate the positive thoughts and prayers of everyone,” Platt continued. “I have a number of absolutely great people who are going to hit me !! Because it has been might me, this is just a bump in the way and will soon be behind me! So everyone will continue!”

Before announcing his diagnosis, Kansas pushed two shows planned for February 14 and February 15 in Oklahoma until November.
The rock band has also canceled a upcoming show in Lake Charles, Louisiana, planned for March 1.
“The band apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes to be back on the road soon,” Kansas wrote on Instagram.

Kansas was formed Five decades ago as a “garage band” in Topeka. The Rock Band released his debut album “Kansas” in 1974.
