Trudeau wrote on X after the game that he was “damn pride” in Canada. But he also pulled some spotting from American fans.
In the NHL, angry was heard during the American national anthem after Trump has announced the rates for Canada, which have since paused. The president has also plagued that Canada will be the ’51st state’.

“It is clear that I know what is going on and I understand the frustration of the Canadians, but I think we should respect the folk songs and things like that,” Doughty said. “I don’t think someone should boost.”
American defender Zach Werenski the anger does not appreciate.
“We knew it would happen,” said Werenski. “It happened the last game, it happened earlier in the NHL, and we knew that tonight would be the same. We clearly don’t like it.”
The US was angry for their match against Finland and later won 6-1.
