A DC -Federal judge expanded a street ban against the Alien Enemies Act on Friday, a wartime law from 1798 that the Trump government has introduced to deport Venezuelan nationals that are illegally in the US tren the Aragua (TDA) -gangs.

Judge James Boasberg of the US ruled that the extension will run until 12 April.

Also on Friday, in a separate judgment, a federal court in Boston blocked the deportation of migrants to countries where they have no existing relationship without a chance to go to court to dispute that move.

Last week, Boasberg issued a temporary limitation to the president to use the law to deport Venezuelan nationals, which stated that he needed more time to consider the merits of the case.
