A federal judge extended a temporary order on Friday that blocks Elon Musk’s Department of Efficiency of the Government (Doge) team of access to payment systems within the Treasury Department.
The expansion comes after 19 state lawyers -general have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on the access of Doge to the payment system, which has information about the social security of Americans, Medicare And the benefits of veterans, information about tax refund and much more.

The lawsuit was brought in New York by Procurator -General Letitia James of New York and includes Procurators -General from Arizona, California, Colorado, Clorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jerseh Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.

The newly created Doge wants to reduce government waste and has gained access to more than a dozen government agencies, including the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Education and the Department of Labor.
