The 2006 Holiday Movie was written and directed by Nancy Meyers and Lo, 51, star together Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Kate Winslet.
Myers, 75, met Law for lunch after the actor received a career milestone – a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California. Meyers shared a video of Law on social media in which the two teased a return to the holiday classic.
“Congratulations Jude! ⭐️,” Myers captioned a video shared via Instagram on Thursday, December 12. “I was excited to be at Jude’s lunch today and I had a question for him…”
In the clip shared from the celebratory luncheon, Meyers moves slowly on a white tablecloth next to Law, seated across from her. The two sat on either side between a dessert parfait and a glass of champagne, and Law was dressed in a beige suit.
“Look who I’m having lunch with today,” she said in the video. “Congratulations on your much deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s amazing.”
Lowe received the prestigious honor with two of his children, Rafferty, 28, and Iris, 24, and his wife Philippa Coan, in attendance during Thursday’s ceremony.
“Thanks, Nancy,” Law said in response. “It’s so good to see you.” Myers then noted how long it had been since the two had seen each other.
“I am very glad to see you,” she said. “I don’t think I’ve seen you since we finished The holiday.“
Myers then began asking about a possible sequel to the acclaimed film, saying, “Speaking of which, I’ve seen you give a lot of interviews and they keep asking you if there’s going to be a sequel, what do you think?”
Law sighed before repeating his question, saying, “Will there be a sequel?” The Young Pope the star then picked up a white cloth napkin and placed it over her head, then placed glasses on top of the napkins.
The British star was referring to a scene in the film where Lowe’s character pretends to be a character called ‘Mr. Napkin Head” to entertain his children.
Myers continued to tease the sequel by responding to his antics: “Is that it, Jude?”
This earned a response from fans of The holiday who were excited about the possibility of a second film.
“I actually can’t handle this,” one person wrote in the comments, while another said: “Nancy this is not funny!!! You better not mess with us!
