Juan Soto reveals the offers of other MLB teams overshadowed Mets


Just over two months ago, MLB Star Juan Soto signed A historic contract. A few weeks ago he joined the New York Mets in Florida for spring training.

The 15-year-old deal of $ 765 million he signed was the most lucrative contract in professional sports history.

Mid -February, Soto still seemed to process life -changing contact.

“I still think about it and everything. It’s incredible,” he said at the time. “I am really happy with that. I am really happy to know where I will be for the next 15 years.”

But Soto revealed that he received offers from other teams that surpassed the dazzling amount the Mets presented.

Soto later said that the culture of the Mets was one of the reasons that he decided to leave the Bronx in favor of Queens.

Soto will wear his coveted no. 22 sweater with the Mets. Third Honkman Brett Baty wore that song in the past three seasons. But Soto gave him a brand new SUV during the spring training to convince the Infielder to switch to no. 7.

“No, you didn’t do that,” Baty said, smiling and walked outside the team’s spring training complex to see Soto near a Chevrolet Tahoe who had scribbled “thanks for #22” on the rear window.

Baty, the 12th general choice of the METS in the 2019 design, was still driving Toyota 4runner in the same 2016 that he had in high school.

“I really appreciate the song,” Soto told him. “It’s the first I ever wore.”
