“2024 was a tough year but taught me a lot,” Hall, 44, wrote on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Instagram post celebrating the new year. “It helped me grow and be stronger than I’ve ever been. Sometimes difficult situations can change you. In the end, you become a different person. A better version of yourself. You learn things about yourself that you didn’t know before. It opened my eyes to many things. Although it was difficult, I know it taught me many lessons and I am grateful for that. I always tell myself that God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers.
In July 2024 the news broke that Joshua and his wife Christina Hall (born Haak) called it quits after more than two years of marriage. They both filed for divorce on July 15, with Joshua listing the date of their separation as July 8 and Christina, 41, listing the date of their separation as July 7.
Although Joshua did not mention the breakup in his post, he noted that 2024. “it wasn’t that bad” thanks to his loved ones. “I found out who is really there for you. These people become your pillars in life. They stand by you,” he explained. “They understand when you need space. They have you, even if you don’t have them right now. I will forever be grateful to my community that continues to love me, support me and those special people who have come into my life.”

Joshua started dating Christina shortly after her 2021 divorce from Ant Anstead. They got married in 2022. and went on to appear together on several HGTV shows including Christina on the beach and Christina in the village. The two were to compete against Christina’s ex-husband together Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussaof the new series The exclusion before their separation. When she didn’t answer, he said, “You have to say it with me or repeat it or something to show you’re with me. Remember that you are already a Hall. Don’t get confused in this what is your last name contest. You’re rude.”
