Joe Amabile took a trip down memory lane with Dancing with the stars partner Jenna Johnson and admitted that not all of their time together was fun.

“Do you remember when I almost broke your neck?” Amabile, 38, asked Johnson, 30, during the Saturday, Dec. 16, episode of “Bachelor happy hour” podcast.

Johnson didn’t miss a beat, revealing that the near miss happened during Season 27’s Halloween episode.

“I almost killed you. I swear on my life, she almost died,” Amabile told listeners. “It was crazy.”

Looking back, Amabile remembered how he had messed up at the very end of their Frankenstein-themed Argentinian tango. After turning Johnson just 180 degrees, her body tensed. Amabile could no longer extend her reach, so the professional dancer had to abort a backflip and turn forward to avoid hitting her head.

“Honestly, Joe, that was your best dance and it was the last move. We only had one lift,” Johnson reassured him, explaining, “He put his hand in the wrong place. I was going to do a backflip. I don’t know how I did it.”

Amabile noted that getting his hands stuck “was the one thing I couldn’t do” in the routine or we would have messed things up. “That was the only position I couldn’t lift her in,” he explained, teasing that he was warned “Just don’t do that” before he went on stage and “that’s what I did.”

Johnson and Amabile were paired together for season 27 of the racing seriesaired in 2018 The duo was the eighth couple eliminated, leaving the show after the semi-finals.

Although Johnson didn’t seem fazed by her near-disastrous experience with Amabile, she revealed that she hopes to be partners with a football player instead of another Bachelor Nation star after their time together.

Rumors surfaced earlier this year that Johnson was unhappy with who she was paired with bachelor alum Joey Graziadei over NFL player for season 33. (Danny Amendola joined the show as Whitney Carsonpartner of.)

“I never had a football player. I always did wanted to partner with them because, again, they’re athletic, they’re totally down to be trained and flashy,” she explained. “That’s a lot of hours. So they’ve had that experience. Also, they are usually quite big and strong, so they can lift the girl anywhere.

Amabile’s wife and co-host, Serena Pittteased that his mess just proved why an NFL player would be a great partner moving forward.

Dancing With the Stars pro Jenna Johnson admitted that she was initially hoping for another partner instead of Joey Graziadei. “Joey knows that, I was honest with him,” Johnson, 30, said during the Thursday, Sept. 26, episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast. “I think people think we know who we’re going to have for (…)

“That’s why she wants a footballer,” Pitt, 27, joked. “She says, ‘They would never do this to me.

Johnson insisted on it her time with the two Amabiles and Graziadei, 29, were equally funny, even if Amabile didn’t win. (Johnson and Graziadei won the Mirrball trophy in November.)

“Our season was one of my favorite seasons,” Johnson said of Amabile. “Your dance experience wasn’t the best. I had so much fun every day in rehearsal with you because you were so desperate.”

She gushed: “We were laughing so hard. I feel that way because there was there are no expectations regarding the dance we were just like “Let’s just do this!”

  1. Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.” by Oscar Fingall O’Flahertie Wills Wilde.
