The “Take My Breath Away” singer in particular started dating Nick Lachey in 1999 After an on and off romance, they went on to tie the knot in October 2002 and subsequently landed their own Newlyweds reality television show. After nearly four years of marriage, they eventually gave up.

We worked and were great at it, but when it came time to be alone, we weren’t good at it anymore.”
She then added: “I was 22 and I had just staked my life and my destiny on this man. And I’m not sorry. Nick was supposed to be my husband. No one else was he had to have my virginity.”
After their divorce was finalized in 2006, Employee of the Month an actress dated people like John Mayer, Tony Romo and Billy Corgan. Simpson continued to date a former football player Eric Johnson in 2010 which proposed six months later that November.
Simpson and NFL alum — which they share daughters Maxwell, born 2012, and Birdie, born 2019, and son Ace, born 2013. — wedding in july 2014. In January 2025 Simpson announced the duo’s split after 10 years of marriage.
