Jenna Fisher marks one year since cancer surgery and provides a health update

Jenna Fischer is celebrating a milestone after sharing that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

“Happy New Year! What a year 2024 was. Yesterday was one year since my breast cancer surgery,” Fisher, 50, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, January 4. “Spent the day in St.Louis surrounded by my family celebrating a belated Christmas with grandparents and cousins ​​after being luxuriated in my FAVORITE hotel of all time @fsstlouis.”

She continued: “I mean… a cozy robe, coffee, a book and that view! (I’ve been wanting to be their official ambassador for years. And I won’t give up until it happens 😂).”

Fisher continued his announcement by giving fans an update on his health. “I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enter this New Year refreshed and energized,” she wrote. “I have two more infusions of Herceptin and then I’m going to get the port out!! Wow! Hair is growing back (slowly and wildly, but growing).”

Jenna Fischer revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. “October is breast cancer awareness month. I never thought I’d make an announcement like this, but here we are,” the 50-year-old Office alum wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, October 8. “Last December I was diagnosed with triple positive stage breast cancer.” (…)

Fisher noted that she is working on her physical health after treatment. “And I train with @bodyfitbyamy to keep my body strong for a long time,” she concluded. “Sending you love and blessings for the New Year!”

Along with the caption, Fischer uploaded an image of her lounging in a bathrobe in her hotel room with a book on her lap and a glass to her lips. In the background of the photo, the arch of the St. Louis Gate could be seen in the distance.

The office alum revealed his diagnosis in October 2024. “October is breast cancer awareness month. I never thought I’d make an announcement like this, but here we are,” she wrote via Instagram. “I was diagnosed with stage 1 triple positive breast cancer last December.”

She continued: “After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I am now cancer free.”

Fisher said she began “12 rounds” of chemotherapy in February and began three weeks of radiation four months later. During her treatment Fischer lost your hairinstead of wearing wigs and hats with extensions. Ultimately, Fisher decided to share her diagnosis with the public because she said she was ready to “throw away the wigs” and remind others to get annual mammograms.

“If I had waited another six months, things could have been a lot worse. It could have gone viral,” she wrote. “Seeing women post pictures of their mammogram appointments on Instagram forced me to set my own (which I was late for). I’m so glad I did. Consider this your kick in the ass for doing it.
