Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/MEGA Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual assault and rape amid a new wave of civil lawsuits. NBC News reported Sunday, Oct. 20, that it had received “five new civil lawsuits” filed that day by Texas-based attorney Tony Busby in the Southern District of New York. The documents that (…)

“This amended complaint and the recent racketeering lawsuit against Mr. Busby expose his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear spreading lies for them, just as lies were spread about Mr. Combs,” Diddy’s lawyers said in a statement to us. “As his legal team has previously said, Mr. Combs has every confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process.” In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, male or female, adult or minor.

In October, Busby told TMZ that he sent out demand letters for even more celebrities to be sued alongside Diddy.

“I think I will allow it the deeds speak for themselves” the lawyer said in the October 7 interview. “Everybody’s focusing on which other celebrities are involved, who’s going to be named, who’s going to be revealed — I don’t expect that to happen this week.” I hope to file some cases this week.

Jay-Z’s response to this lawsuit comes after last month, when an unnamed male celebrity sued against the attorney and his firm for “brazenly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him or otherwise publicly make wildly false and horrific allegations against him,” according to court documents obtained by CNN.

The plaintiff filed a complaint against Buzbee under the name “John Doe” in Los Angeles Superior Court on November 18.

Doe alleges in the filing that Busby and his firm “threatened to unleash completely fabricated and obscene sexual assault charges” that included “numerous instances of rape of minors, both male and female,” if their client “refused to accommodate their requests.”

Didi was arrested in September for conspiracy to commit racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. Alleged victims began filing lawsuits against him after his arrest, accusing him of past sexual assault, drug use and threats of violence. Like him awaiting criminal trial in May 2025 Diddy maintains his innocence and denies all civil charges against him.
