A woman reportedly told the Burbank Police Department that “her boyfriend picked her up and threw her to the ground,” according to documents reviewed by multiple outlets, including people.
The arresting officer was called to the scene for an “unknown problem.” It is unclear whether Kennedy’s girlfriend, Ali Lubermake the statement. Us Weekly approached Kennedy’s team for comment.
us confirmed on Thursday, December 12 that Kennedy, 32, was arrested for criminal domestic violence earlier this week. He was released on $20,000 bail.
“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by Burbank police against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys it said in a statement. “We understand there were no injuries and we hope that after a careful review, city attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
A source later said us on which Kennedy’s arrest was based “complete misunderstanding”.
“They were arguing and a neighbor was outside and heard them fighting and called the police and the officers came,” an insider close to the situation exclusively said us, also claiming that Lewber, 28, does not plan to press charges.

An eyewitness told exclusively us that Kennedy seemed “in great spirits” during one part of the party.
“(James) and Ali were cuddling together and taking pictures,” the second source said us. “She seemed to be in a good space and was dancing, singing and having fun.”
However, a third insider claimed that Kennedy was “running” through the party and “causing a scene.”
“His friend chased him from Kathy’s basement all the way through Kathy’s backyard and James looked crazy as he ran,” claims the third source us. “The man chasing him almost fell into the pool and dropped the lantern into the pool causing a huge scene. Everyone was wondering what was going on.”
Party fellow guest Nick Viall confirmed the alleged incident during Thursday’s episode of his self-titled podcast.
“I was like (shocked) and his friend just grabbed the drink and James kept walking. I was like, ‘That was crazy,'” Viall, 44, claimed on Thursday’s episode. “Ten minutes earlier I met this guy who he introduced as his best friend, and then 10 minutes later he was barking orders.”
Viall added: “It was great. I really felt like I was seeing something valuable and I was the only one who saw it. Everyone else was in their own lane.
Lewber has not spoken publicly about the incident. us reached out for comment.
