Israel launched an attack on the capital of Lebanon for the first time on Friday, because a cease -the last ended the last Israel-Hezbollah War In November.

Hezbollah denied firing the missiles and accused Israel of looking for a pretext to keep attacking Lebanon.

During a joint press conference with Aoun, French President Emmanuel Macron called the attack “unacceptable”, and promised to tackle it with Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump. Macron said the US can put pressure on Israel.
A spokeswoman for the US Department of Foreign Affairs called on the Lebanon government to act.
“Israel defends his people and interests by responding to rocket attacks by terrorists in Lebanon,” said the spokeswoman, Tammy Bruce, Friday. “We expect that Lebanese armed forces will disarm these terrorists to prevent further hostilities.”
The special Coordinator of the UN for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, said that the escalation had created a critical period for Lebanon and the wider region ‘.
Israeli strikes in other parts of Lebanon killed three people on Friday and wounded 18, including children and women, in the southern village of Kfar Tibnit, said the Health Minister of Lebanon.
The strikes arrive less than two weeks after Israel stopped -the Fires with Hamas ended with surprise attacks that hundreds of people killed in Gaza. Earlier this month, Israel stopped deliveries of food, fuel, medicines and humanitarian aid to the approximately 2 million Palestinians of Gaza.
