Informant accused of providing false Biden information to FBI pleads guilty to four charges



Alexander Smirnov has reached a plea agreement with the office of Special Prosecutor David Weiss, agreeing to plead guilty to several counts.

The plea agreement notes that Smirnov agrees to “Counts Two of the United States indictment against Alexander Smirnov… charging the defendant with causing the creation of a false and fictitious account in a federal investigation…”

He also agrees to plead guilty to several counts of tax evasion.

Smirnov has been accused of providing “false derogatory information to the FBI(.)”
