Carse confident of England series return
England have no room for maneuver if they are to hand Brendon McCullum a win of a lifetime as manager of all formats, but Carse remains upset and believes there is more to come from the tourists.
Asked if he still felt England could win the remaining three games and the series, Carse said after Saturday’s defeat: “Yes, of course, 100 per cent.
“It’s pretty obvious that the performance was a lot better than the other night, but we haven’t put a full performance in. It’s very exciting to see where we can go in these next few games.
“I felt like we got a decent score on the board and kept taking wickets throughout the game.” Credit goes to Tilak, he played a very mature and intelligent innings and in the end it was the difference in their favour.”
