The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday, January 25, named the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2024, featuring four Indians. Rohit Sharma, who led India to win the T20 World Cup 2024 last year, has been named the captain of the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year.
Apart from Rohit Sharma, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, leading paceman Jasprit Bumrah and young gun Arsheep Singh have made it to the ICC Men’s T20I Squad 2024. Phil Salt and Travis Head are the only players to make the prestigious squad from England and Australia, respectively.

The hard-hitting West Indies batsman has been selected by the ICC as the keeper in its T20I Team of the Year 2024, with Babar Azam and Sikandar Raza the only players from their countries, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, to make the cut. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan complete the 2024 T20I Team of the Year.
The ICC said in a statement: “The ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year recognizes the best of the best who wowed the world with their match-winning performances and made 2024 an unforgettable year in the shortest format.”
