I haven’t done good

Ivan Juric admits that he is not sure if he will be responsible for Southampton next season and admitted that he has not done “good” at St Mary’s.

The reports emerged this week that the saints brought a move to Sefield’s Wednesday’s boss Danny Roll, no matter what division was coming in the summer. Rohl is a former assistant at Southampton and the club approached Wednesday before Juric’s appointment.

The South Coast Club is below the Premier League with just nine points from 27 games, 13 Adrift of Safety.

Juric replaced the completely remote Russell Martin in December, having been fired by the Roma a month earlier after just 12 responsible.

Juric ‘Living at the moment’

Asked about his future before Saturday’s discouraging trip to Liverpool leaders, Croatia said: “I don’t know. As I said, I live the moment and think about Liverpool, not what will happen or will not happen in the future. I can do it.

“It’s normal for every manager when you get results and all is well and when you don’t have results, you and the club have doubts. It’s a normal situation and I’m used to it. For every manager it’s nothing special.”

Juric honest for his own performance

Juric has lost everything except one of the 10 games in the league and admits that it was not easy.

He added: “I haven’t done good, it was (it was bad). I think there are many situations. I think it’s a little wrong.

“But if I think about my job, of course I’m not happy, I’m not satisfied. I expected a lot more. When things went wrong, it’s all wrong.

“Not the team or I or the club, it’s all wrong. We have nine points. With Russell Martin they did five and then four.

“My mistake and the others, so it’s not important to think about it. It is only important that we have to prepare for the game.

“We have to do our best at the end of the season. Then you’ll see what happens. It’s not easy to miss in games.

“But as I said before, for my new players, it’s a great experience. I have to be tough. I have to believe that something good can happen in these bad times.”

If there were some good news for Juric, it is the fact that his team will have four players back on Anfield with Kyle Walker-Peters, Adam Lallana, Jan Bednarek and Lesley Ugochuukwu.
