A Colorado High School Basketball Coach was suspended after he had hung a Palestinian flag, and after he refused to shake hands with the opposite coach after a match against a Jewish school last week.
Lotus School for Excellence in Aurora and Denver Torah Academy competed against each other on January 22. The Lotus School told it Denver’s 9 News That the head coach of the team, only identified as coach O., brought a Palestinian flag to the front and hung it.

The school said after the game that the coach reacted to the flag again before he went to the handshake. The coach reportedly did not shake hands with the coaches of Denver Torah.
“He grabs his flag and puts him around his neck,” said the athletic director Deon Jackson of Lotus School at the station. “We saw the intention at that time.”
The starts forever, the B School’s directorannounced that according to the New York Post the coach was suspended together with another assistant coach.
“It has nothing to do with Lotus,” said Bakyt. “It does not represent us, and we are again everything about respect and diversity. That is what we celebrate. That is what we are proud of.”
Brandon Ratter, member of the Jewish Community Relations Council, condemned the coach’s actions in an interview with the New York Post.
