How to easily print photos from your phone


Are you an ambitious one? Android or iPhone photographer? Both Android OS 15 and iOS 18 bring professional photography features to their new smartphones with improvements in AI-powered photo processing and high-quality digital camera sensors in the top smartphones.

Even if you don’t like taking photos directly from your smartphone, most cameras now let you transfer photos directly from a camera to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

You can also print high-quality photos from your phone, and it’s surprisingly easy. Here are a few different ways to print a photo from your smartphone.

Use a printer with Wi-Fi

Many of the most popular printers available today have Wi-Fi functionalityand if you have a Wi-Fi enabled printer, you can print photos directly from your phone. Most modern photo printers are completely wireless, making it easy to print photos directly from your Android or iOS smartphone. Check out my top printer picks here. Here’s how to print from a wireless printer on both Android and iOS:

For iPhone:

  • Make sure your printer supports this AirPrint and is connected to that of your phone Wi-Fi network.
  • Open the Photos appselect the photo you want to print, tap the share iconand choose Print.
  • Choose yours printer And adjust any print settings.
  • Click Print top right of the screen.

For Android:

SThe settings may vary depending on the manufacturer of your Android phone.

  • Connect your printer to the the same WiFi network as your phone.
  • Go to Institutions > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Print.
  • Select Standard printing service or a third party printing services plugin.
  • Open the photo that you want to print in your gallery app, tap the share iconand select Print.

Using a portable photo printer

Portable photo printers are useful for printing on the go. They usually connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and come with apps that make printing easy. Portable photo printers are a good idea if you want a compact photo printer that you can easily take with you when traveling. Using an online photo printing service

You can also use apps or websites like Shutterfly or Snapfish that offer photo printing services. Upload your photos, choose your printing options, and have them delivered to your home or picked up at a local store. Similar services are also available from your local print shops or even from big box retailers such as Stapleswho also print high-quality posters and images. It can be a good idea to use a printing service and store to process your photos because you can be assured that your photos will be printed in high quality prints with great printers.

Transfer photos to your computer

You can transfer your photos to your computer and print them from there using your home printer. This is a good option if you have an older printer or an older photo printer that doesn’t support Wi-Fi. Here is a list of them our printer recommendations. I recommend checking out the color printer options we highlighted. We made the list for everyone, so we made sure there are printers that can easily print beautiful photos. Here’s how to do this from an iPhone to your computer:

  • Use one USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer.
  • Make sure your iPhone or Android is unlocked.
  • Tap when prompted “Trust this computer” on your iPhone or Android.
  • On a Mac, open it Photos app.
  • On a Windows PC, open it Photos app or File Explorer.
  • On a Mac, click “Import” in the Photos app and select the photos you want to transfer.
  • On a Windows PC, click “Import” in the Photos app, or copy and paste photos from Explorer.

Print photos

  • Make sure your printer is connected to your computer (via USB or network).
  • Open the photos that you want to print on your computer.
  • On a Mac, go to “File” > “Print” in the Photos app.
  • On a Windows PC right click on the photo and select “Print” or use the print option in the Photos app.
  • Choose your printer and configure the print settings (size, quality, etc.).
  • Click “Print” to start printing your photos.
