Hailee Steinfeld already an acclaimed actress and singer, but now she’s NFL royalty.
A new billboard in Buffalo, New York saluted Steinfeld, 28, and the Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen of theirs recent engagement declaring the couple king and queen of the city. “Queen City has a new queen,” the billboard read, according to an X photo shared by CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson on Sunday, January 12. “Congratulations Josh and Haley.”
The billboard featured illustrated photos of Steinfeld and Allen, 28, as a queen and king playing cards. Steinfeld’s caricature wore a crown and flashed an engagement ring, while Allen’s playing card featured his No. 17 jersey and helmet.
The billboard appears to have gone up in celebration of the Bills’ playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Steinfeld attended the game, which the Bills won 31-7. Steinfeld and Allen announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post in November 2024 The post — titled “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️” — included a photo of Allen’s proposal, which took place in front of a picturesque sunset on the beach, under a gorgeous floral arch and surrounded by candles.
Allen later admitted in a December 2024 issue. of Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter that it is “very nervous” to ask the question. “It was hard keeping secrets from you and other people in your life keeping secrets from you,” he noted. “Then several times throughout the day a song would come on and I would cry thinking how special our day was going to be.”

Sharing more details about their special moment, Alan added: “I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I said your full name and asked you very nicely. I said please.
Allen said Steinfeld was “extremely surprised” by the proposal, gushing: “It feels amazing to be engaged to someone so special, loving, caring, wonderful, funny and happy.”

Steinfeld and Allen began dating shortly after the athlete broke up with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams in April 2023 “Hayley and Josh have been together for about a month now and it’s going really great,” a source exclusively said Us Weekly in June 2023 “(They) laugh a lot when they’re together (and) always smile.”
