The city looked blotch. But they would have been kicked to avoid increasing their lead before the break, as both Savinho and Haaland are wasting good chance.
Tottenham had goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to thank for maintaining his decent standings, the Italian by pulling a series of significant savings, as Spurs seemed unstable.
The second half began in the same way, with the city enjoying the majority of the occupation and their hosts are struggling to hold them.
However, Spurs finally began to show a promise. Shortly before the hour, the hosts carve a great opportunity to level, but Wilson Odobert failed to turn Pedro Porro ball.
It was a spark that seemed to ignite the London side. Rodrigo BentanCur saw his header saved before Mathys Tel wasted a brilliant opportunity, as the Spurs looked like those who could be left.
Haaland had a second goal excluded for the offside in the interruption time before, right to death, Spurs Pape Sarr was heading over the bar with a goal one night “what if” for the Spurs.
The city was held for all three points in what was a classic two -half game.
