Guimaraes Strike sends Magpies sixth

Newcastle United started a long week by moving to sixth place in the Premier League, as Bruno Guimaraes’ second semester strike was enough for West Ham.

The Eddie Howe side has the Carabao Cup final on the horizon and is now a level in points with Manchester City and is well placed for another inclination in the Champions League after a very necessary road victory.

West Ham saw Tomas Soucek Blaze a great opportunity for just 46 seconds in the game, as Newcastle had a fair share of defensive jitters.

But after this loss the Magpies were the brightest side and Harvey Barnes rejected twice well by Alphonse Areola before the break.

Barnes has delivered an opportunity to the left of Newcastle’s attack with Anthony Gordon launching a three -game ban, and former Leicester was a constant threat.

First, his shot from the passage of Kieran Trippier came out before the French holder made a nice savings from a header near the post.

Neither side could find the net in the first half, but the discovery came when Guimaraes were promoting a Barnes Cross to put Magpies on the street in three places.

West Ham has not yet won a game in the Premier League after admitting and seeing a lot from the ball and sending Evan Ferguson, Danny Ings, Lucas Paqueta and Carlos Soler, they could not really try Nick Pope.

Mohammed Kudus, the bright light for the hosts, saw a strong shot charged at the closure moments, but looked blunt.

Niki leaves Hammers 16th on the table-but they have more than a healthy 16-point pillow above the unfortunate below three.

A highlight for the multitude of the house had a front Michail Antonio on the stadium for the first time by a car accident last year and was introduced to the crowd before playing in emotional scenes.

With 68 goals is the top scorer of West Ham’s Premier League and supporters welcomed him on the pitch with a huge banner covering much of the lower grade behind a goal, reading “Michail Antonio-our number 9.”

Newcastle, on the other hand, can focus on a second final appearance of the championship in three years against Liverpool.

Can they finally end that 70 years waiting for a domestic trophy?
