“Gray’s Anatomy” star Kate Walsh Is open about a fear of health that she was confronted with years ago.
During a recent performance at “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, the 57-year-old actress remembered in 2015 with a non-cancer-like brain tumor and shared how the experience changed her approach to health.
“Fortunately it turned out to be good, so I was very, very happy,” Walsh said.

Looking back, the resident of California shared that she learned a valuable lesson from the experience.

Walsh revealed her brain tumor diagnosis for the first time in an interview in September 2017 with Cosmopolitan.

“I just left my body,” she said. “My assistant had driven me there and I had to go get him so that he could make notes because I was gone. It was never anything that I had imagined.”

Three days later, Walsh was operated on to remove growth, and it was later determined as a benign meningiom.
According to the Mayo Clinic, meningiomas “brain tumors that start in the membranes around the brain and spinal cord” and they are the most common type of benign brain tumors.

While he appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, Walsh shared that she has a family history From cancer. Her father died as a result of complications of lung cancer and her mother was a survivor of breast cancer.
