With the attack options already exhausted due to injuries to Wilson Odobert and Timo Werner, Solanke’s injury was forced to enter the January transfer market to seek aid.

Spurs first followed the PSG Randal Kolo Muani, with President Daniel Levy flying to France to negotiate a loan agreement. However, the forward rejected a move in North London in favor of Juventus.

They also tried to sign Santiago Guinez, but he had already given his speech to Milan.
