“Engaged 1/3/25. ❤️💍♾️, Burton, 54, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, January 4, along with a slideshow of sweet photos of the couple from their engagement. A snap captured the moment Burton dropped to one knee and popped the question.
Burton’s inscription continues: “Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Well-wishers flooded the comments section to congratulate the happy couple, including Burton’s General hospital costars.

“Steve and Michelle, I wish you both a long, loving and fruitful life together! Congrats!” the costar wrote Rick Hurstwhile a fellow cast member Finola Hughes burst out: “Congratulations! I wish you both every happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle!”
Burton was previously married to Sherry Gustin from 1999 to 2022, with whom he shares three children: daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son Jack.
Burton’s last marriage hit the headlines in May 2022 when it emerged that he and Gustin, 46, had split after 23 years of marriage and she was expecting a baby with another man. (The couple legally separated in March of that year.)

As for Burton, the soap opera star confirmed his connection and Lundström to Daily drama in May 2024, but it wasn’t until the following months that the couple did their thing red carpet debut at the Daytime Emmy Awards last June.
“Our first red carpet together. It was a dream from start to finish,” Lundstrom wrote on Instagram in June as she gushed over the night with her partner. “Thank you for all the beautiful, kind comments and messages. I am truly grateful ❤️🙏🏼.”
At that time, Burton’s General hospital costar Kirsten Storms wrote in the comments, “You are so cute together, this picture is almost hard to look at. 🥰 ❤️.”
