The era of Thomas Tuchel England officially begins on Friday. The three lions take the first one under the 51 -year -old German, where they will host Albania in a 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Wembley before welcoming Latvia in London three days later.
The discussion has been full since the former director of Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich was announced as a replacement by Gareth Southgate last year.
There have been many discussions about the selection of players, the formation of the team, and if this is the man who will eventually lead the men’s team to the glory of the World Cup for the first time in 60 years.
So here are four basic questions in front of Tuchel’s first game.

How will it be a first German manager of England?
When FA appointed Sven-Goran Eriksson as the first foreign manager of the Men’s Group in 2001, the reaction was a wide indignation.
Over the years, the answer to the prospect of a non-English national team coach has softened. Fabio Capello took over in 2007, while Sarina Wiegman has enjoyed great success – and most importantly landed a trophy – as lion director.
However, there was some criticism when Tuchel – who greetings from England’s great football opponents, Germany – was announced as men’s boss in October.
It is likely that some challengers may not be won entirely until Tuchel delivers some silverware-that is, the 2026 World Cup-but with a proven record by winning trophies, the 51-year-old has the opportunity to make a strong first impression.
Which system will the team adopt?
After leaving his work at Mainz in 2014, Tuchel took a trip to Munich. There he met with Pep Guardiola, then Bayern Munich’s boss and the couple spent hours on the table, moving the salt and pepper mills, while in a deeply regular discussion.
Tuchel mentions Guardiola as a major influence and it is not difficult to see similarities, especially in perfectionism, concern and, perhaps most important, success.
The German has won 11 big trophies, including the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, but it remains to see how it will create the team of three Lions.
At the beginning of his career, Tuchel favored a three-part system, using a 3-4-2-1 formation during his time in the blues. However, more recently, it chose a more traditional more traditional structure built on the back four.
“He wants the high standards, which are from day one.” 👊

Who will get the nod?
Much has been done by the first choice of the Tuchel team. There were first calls for Miles Lewis-Skelly and Dan Burn, while the new director’s opening team also saw amazing odds for Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson.
But the remaining question is who will do his first eleven. Will the new experience experience experience or go for young blood? Will he experiment or choose what he thinks is his strongest team from the players available?
Either way, despite his reputation as discipline, Tuchel is known for his human management skills and his human touch. A Christmas, while in Chelsea, Tutsel introduced 200 boxes of Lebkuchen-with honey-honey cake-from a bakery in Germany, so that everyone in the club has a gift.
It was an incredible week for Dan Burn and we like to see it. 👊🏆

Will Fairytale Dan Burn go on?
Some things, they say, improve with age. It is an idea that could be aptly applied to Dan Burn, Newcastle United.
If the 32-year-old wins his first ceiling in the coming lights, he will become the oldest debut of England’s men since Kevin Davies made his international bow-and only his appearance-against Montenegro at the age of 33 in October 2010.
He has to burn the feature, he will rank 21st among the older male debuts of the three Lions, which sandwiches between Jack Smith of Portsmouth (32Y 354D) and goalkeeper Manchester City Frank Swift (32y 276D).
It would mark a remarkable a few days for the player born in Blyth, who set the original goal, as the Magpies ran 2-1 winners in Liverpool in Wembley to lift the Carabao Cup and finish 70 years of drought in the interior.
