Former Steelers -Star Najee Harris explains Pittsburgh’s exit


Najee Harris was one of the top perspectives in the NFL version of 2021 and the Pittsburgh Steelers used their selection in the first round on the decline.

Four years after he was the number 24, Harris’s term of office with the Steelers has ended. The Pro Bowler came on the market for free agencies and agreed with a year Contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.

During his introductory press conference with his new team, Harris admitted that he realized that his time had finished with the stalkers.

“Me and coach t (Steeler’s head coach Mike Tomlin), we are quite close in certain ways, so I knew a bit what would come,” Said Harris. “I didn’t intend to do it. It wasn’t something that was in the plan or something.”

During last month in Indianapolis NFL Scouting -Maaidorser, Steelers General Manager Omar Khan said that the team did not “had closed the door” on Harris.

Harris said he was always aware of the business side of The NFL.

“But it’s a company. Coach T told me that when I was a rookie. Even in my last year he would tell me:” This is the business side of things, “Harris added. “I just took that, and I understood. I just knew that would be my last year. … maybe, like, halfway through the end of the season, I knew that a bit.”

While Harris experienced some ups and downs in Pittsburgh, his overall production was consistent. He finished all four of his seasons with The Steelers With at least 1,000 hurrying. He was also sustainable and appeared in all 68 games in the regular season during his four -year -old run with the legendary franchise.

Harris had to have to contend with some instability along the attacking line of Pittsburgh and a turnover on the Quarterback position during his stint with the steelers. Harris shared passionate comments after the Steelers had dropped a match at Cleveland Browns in the mid -season 2023. The team later continued from offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

De Steelers refused to exercise Harris’s option last year.

Harris expressed excitement about the talent along the attacking line of the chargers.

“The identity is what makes the plays, the integrity of what it is like,” said Harris. “And that is what brought me here. Watch their games all season, to see how their O-line works, how good their line is and how they end and the integrity they bring.

“I feel that that is what the Games is the O-line. They have a good O-line here, so I just want to take advantage.”

Harris hurried for 4,312 meters in his four seasons with the Steelers. He added 83 Yards to the floor about three postseason competitions.
