Former Aston Villa Richard Dunne defender believes that Marcus Rashford has the ability to be the best player in the Premier League – though he wants to see him prove it on a regular basis.
Rashford impressed since he joined Villa in an initial loan deal by Manchester United in January, ending up in a long spell with his children’s club that became sour as he was frozen under Ruben Amorim.
Villa has the option of signing international England for £ 40 million at the end of the season, though Dunne remains cautious at this early stage.

“Marcus Rashford can be the best player in the Premier League”
Said William Hill: “There has never been any question about the ability and quality of Marcus Rashford when it is in shape, but I think Aston Villa still must be cautious and wait and see before he is committed to signing it permanently. He must perform weekly, week, because for a long time, he is not performed for a long time.
“The villa must be sure he has turned a corner and found the club that suits him. If they see a determination from Marcus, that he wants to be the best player in the league-who has the ability to be-then he can be a real player for the villa and someone who can carry them.
“His abilities and ability are unlimited. He can win games on his own. If they can shoot him then he is an amazing signature for them.”

Club Brugge then for Rashford and Villa
Rashford is likely to be in the original XI of UNAI Emery for the first leg of the Champions League, a 16 draw round at Club Brugge tonight.
And Dunne, who made nearly 100 appearances for the villa between 2009 and 2013, is sure that his former club can proceed with the quarter -finals, despite the fact that he lost the same group’s opponents.
He added: “The previous meeting between the two sides was in the Brugge Club, so obviously the difference this time is that they have the opportunity in Villa Park to convert any negative effect around.
“But when I watched the defeat at Brugge, the villa was very careful and did not play free. I would like to support the villa to beat Brugge, at home and away, if they are brave enough to go and open a little – they are well enough to do it. They go, if they can release an extra player and attack with freedom, they can defeat the Brugge.
“Brugge is a very good side. It is embarrassed to play against. They have some very good, footballers and push very well. Villa should be able to hit them during two feet.
