Former Arsenal defender Saul Campbell pokes fun at Spurs as ‘big moves pay off’

Sol Campbell has made a light attack on Tottenham ahead of tomorrow’s North London derby, rekindling memories of his move to Arsenal.

Campbell remains a hated figure with Spurs fans after swapping White Hart Lane for Highbury in 2001.

Having risen through the ranks at Tottenham to become captain and arguably one of the best centre-halfs in the world, Campbell stunned world football by moving the capital to join the club’s bitter rivals.

As the advert implies, it would prove to be a smart move as he won two Premier League medals and two FA Cup winners.

In the ad for the Google Pixel, he ditches his white arm for a red one and says “big moves pay off.

He added: “It’s not that you’re doing anything outrageous, you’re just changing into something much, much better.”

The end of the ad suggests he was talking about his wash the whole time, but football fans know better!
