The Coast Guard said on Saturday that it was still looking for three passengers, including an adult and two children, after a boat capsized on St. John’s River Jacksonville, FloridaNear Goat Island, so one person is dead.
Around 7 pm Friday, Coast Sector Jacksonville received a warning from a Kapseis 18-foot ship with four people on top of the fallen boat and four others who were caught underneath.
The four people on the boat were saved. None of the passengers wore rescue jackets, said the coast guard.

The Coast Launched a lifeboat and helicopter team and the office of the Jacksonville Sheriff, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisted in the search.
“The four people on top of the ship were saved by one Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Marine unit, and one person was found from the water that did not respond, “the desk said in a press release on Saturday.” A MayPort Rescue Surface Semher -Zwemmer Coast Guard Station tried to contact the people reportedly under the ship but did not receive any answers.
“Divers from the Sheriff of Jacksonville sought under the ship but have not found people.”

“At this point we found one person from the missing and they died,” Capt said. Eric Prosswimmer from Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department to reporters at the end of Friday. “It’s a very unfortunate situation and our hearts go to all family members.”
Civil servants did not release the age of the person who died.

The cause of the capsization is being investigated.
