Fetterman separates from Dem Response after ‘touch moment’ at Trump speech


Sen. John FettermanD-PA., Backed his party this week and criticized fellow democrats because they were not stood for the 13-year-old survivor of Cancer DJ Daniel during the speech by President Donald Trump to a joint session of the congress.

“I don’t know why we can’t fully celebrate,” Fetterman told Nicholas Ballasy for Fox News Digital. “I mean, I myself have a 13-year-old, and thankagukank never had cancer, but I think that’s something we can all celebrate there. And I think it was a moving moment. And, as I said, that is part of the best of American experience.”

Fox News Digital reached for 30 democratic legislators about why they Did not stand for DJ Tuesday evening, but only received six responses.

Republican legislators criticized their democratic colleagues because they are sitting during the big moment of DJ and called it “childish” that they refused to stand for the boy.

“The Democrats were really ashamed. I mean, they would not even stand up for DJ, who survived cancer,” Sen. Eric SchmittR-MO., Fox told.

“I was so disappointed that my democratic colleagues could not stand and show love for some of the Americans who were recognized tonight. That was really heartbreaking to me,” said Senator Katie Britt, R-Ala.

Despite the lukewarm response from Democrats, hymns of “DJ!” Broke out in the living room on Tuesday evening when Trump Sean Curran, director of the secret service, ordered the 13-year-old to appoint an honorary doctorate. “Tonight in the gallery is a young man tonight who really loves our police. His name is DJ Daniel. He is 13 years old. He has always dreamed of becoming a police officer himself. But in 2018 DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer. The doctors did him for five months. Officer,” Trump said.
