A Russian citizen and legal resident of the United States was taken into FBI custody today at JFK International Airport after being stowed away on a Delta Airlines flight to Paris last month, the FBI said.
Svetlana Dali, 57, made national news when she arrived without valid travel documents enter France, managed to bypass TSA checkpoints when he boarded Delta Flight 264 to Paris on November 26 without a boarding pass.
“TSA can confirm that an individual without a boarding pass completed security screening (including person and baggage) without any prohibited items. The individual bypassed two identity verification and boarding status stations and boarded the aircraft,” a statement said. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Dali was discovered when a flight attendant realized she had been sitting in the plane’s bathroom for an unusually long time.
The incident is under investigation by federal authorities.

“Nothing is more important than things like safety and security,” Delta told Fox News Digital. “As a result, Delta is conducting a comprehensive investigation into what may have occurred and will work with other aviation stakeholders and law enforcement to do so.”
