Outside the field, the former New York Yankee outfield Brett Gardner is a family man.

Tragedy hit the family in March 2025 when Gardner and Clennin announced Dinner to your youngest child.

Gardner and Clendenin tied the knot in 2007. Clandnen made a handful of public appearances with her husband, including at the 18th annual Derek Jeter Foundation Foundation for 2014, CC Sabathia’s Londdation – All Stars of New York Charity Gala in 2019

Like many Gardner family members, his eldest son Hunter remained out of the spotlight and offline in his father’s 14-year baseball career. Previously, he and Miller made a rare appearance of a red carpet with their parents at the CCandy children’s line at MLB Fan Cave in New York in 2013.

Garnd and Cleenin identified Miller as a “beloved son and brother” who “loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, family and friends” in March 2025. They added: “He lived life on the most day.”

Not only did Bret have literally grew up in this organization for more than 17 years – his wife Jessica and their two boys, hunter and Miller.”
The team continued: “We are grieving with Brett, Jessica, Hunter and their community of family and friends in complaining about the loss of Miller, who had a spark in his eyes, an outbound and a fairy personality and a warm and loving nature.”
Jerry Gardner
Gardner’s father played as an outfield in a minor league before trading a baseball to start a family on his 2600 -acre South Carolina farm. “Obviously he has some somewhat baseball origin and understands the game,” Gardner said in an interview with June 2014 with Mlb.comS “Indeed, he always taught me to play hard. I feel like this is something I still try to do to this day, and I will do it until I play. Obviously I think the game allows me to play in the main leagues probably and make the most of my abilities.”
