But I am worried about people who have an ambition for a chosen office. I don’t think you should have ambition. I think you should have the desire to do it if you are asked. And that is a kind of where I am.”
Social media critics had a field day on X about the comments, which ran the name “Tampon Tim”, which mocked the prospect of a Walz presidency, while encouraging him to make a run officially.
“Tampon Tim” was a nickname used by Conservatives during the election cycle that the Minnesota policy of Walz splashes that menstrual products delivers “to all menstruating students in toilets that were regularly used by students,” instead of saying that the products were intended for female students.
