Despite earning over $100 million in his career, the former Minnesota Vikings running back has also had problems with bank loans. Court records showed in February that Peterson had not paid any of the $8.3 million he owed to DeAngelo Vehicle Sales LLC, which he was ordered to pay more than three years earlier. He was ordered to pay $2.4 million to a creditor in 2019 and had to pay a Minnesota bank the year before.
Peterson missed all but one game in the 2014 season following his charge of reckless or negligent injury to a child. He pleaded no contest to attacking his son, who was four years old at the time, with a tree branch.
