General hospitalis Evan Hofer is willing to ease his final scenes as Dex Heller before those of his character shocking death.
“That last shot really makes Dex look pretty dead,” Hofer, 27, exclusively shares Us Weekly when you experience friday december 13 episode of General hospital. “It was really cool because I got to work with Jeff Koberwho plays Cyrus Reno on the series. He’s this serial killer and kind of a monster of a character. But Jeff is such an amazing man and an amazing actor. For those final scenes, I knew I really wanted to bring the heat.”
From Hofer’s point of view, participating in a “death twist” with Kober was nothing short of an honor.
“I thought, ‘I prepared extremely hard for you because I knew you were going to be here and I showed up for you,'” Hofer said before summing up his character’s fate. “Like how Dex would take Cyrus to the hospital when he was working for Sonny. So it’s kind of a twist of fate, very soap opera.”
Hofer made his debut on General hospital in 2022 and was part of more than 200 episodes before his character’s shocking death.

Throughout his experience working on set, Hofer was able to draw inspiration from soap opera legends including Maurice Benard, Cynthia Watros, Chad Duell, Josh Swickard and Michael Easton.
“For me, it was really top-down, just a fun acting opportunity,” Hofer said us. “It was always, ‘Wow. What a cool story to tell. That was always the story and it was going to be told, and I was just trying to do it as well as I could and really immerse myself in these amazing scenes, the final scenes, with all these people that I love.”
While soap opera fans witnessed some of their favorite actors come back to life after shocking deaths, Hofer didn’t share any details about what’s to come.
Instead, he’s just thrilled to have had the opportunity to develop and build a character over two years.
