Erling Haaland will score Premier League goals for another nine-and-a-half years after the Norwegian signed a new contract to keep him at Manchester City until the summer of 2034.
Haaland has scored 79 goals in 83 league starts for City since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 and is committed to the club until the age of 34.
He is 181 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all-time record.
He said: “I am very pleased to have signed my new contract and I am looking forward to spending even more time at this great club.

“Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing fans and it’s the kind of environment that helps bring out the best in everyone.
“I also want to thank Pep Guardiola, his coaching staff, my team-mates and everyone at the club as they have all helped me so much over the last two years. They made this place so special and now I’m City no matter what.
“I want to keep improving, keep working to get better and try to do my best to try to help us have more success in the future.”
Haaland has won the golden boot in each of his two full seasons in England so far and has 16 this term – two behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristan, added: “The fact that he has signed for so long shows our commitment to him as a player and his love for this club.
“He has made an incredible impact already in his time here and his amazing numbers and records speak for themselves.”
City are sixth in the table and face Ipswich on Sunday.
