England v Albania: line-ups, statistics and preview

Match Preview for England V Albania

England Usher in a new era tomorrow night, as Thomas Tuchel takes over the three lions for the first time.

Albania is the visitors of Wembley with both teams opening the World Cup qualifications campaigns as they offer the finals next summer in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Tuchel asked for a more “English” approach from his players, underlining a more direct, aggressive way of playing and a Remove away from football based on possession under its predecessor Gareth Southgate.

The German said: “We want to play with a hunger and a joy to win and not with the fear of losing. Anything that can happen in football – we know that – but the focus is in the victory (and have) a higher number of brushes in the opponent’s box, the highest amount of the rival.

“Watching the euro, I felt tension and pressure on the shoulders of the players and they were playing not to lose.

“I want to play with enthusiasm and hunger and the desire to win … And acceptance of failure is part of it, especially in football.”

The Captain of England, Harry Cane, worked with Tuchel before, in Bayern Munich last season and is excited in the rejuvenation of their relationship on the international stage.

Kane said: “I had the pleasure of working with him last year and I knew what he could bring to the kind of team we have.

“We’re just a few days together and it’s not disappointed, the camp after the camp, as it settles and knows it more, I think we’ll improve as we go. Finally, it’s about construction until next year.

“It’s very straight to talk. He knows what he wants and knows what he wants from his team. No matter who you are or how many games you are playing. He will tell you the same as he will say to one of the new players what he wants.

England is the overwhelming favorites to win the K team in the UEFA qualifiers, but Albania will be optimistic to compete for the runner -up with Serbia.

Albania is ahead of the former Arsenal left-back Sylvinho and will be willing to improve its side in a record two wins in their last nine games.
