The 38-year-old rapper said he will award $10,000 to the winner of a contest held in his hometown of Toronto on Saturday, December 14.
After Casuals Bakery in Toronto announced the lookalike contest, the “God’s Plan” rapper slammed the establishment via Instagram last week. “I’m adding 10 tapes to the lookalike contest… as the grand prize,” Drake said in a direct message shared publicly from the bakery on Thursday, December 12.
The Casuals owner wrote alongside a screenshot of the exchange: “I can barely type and shock has gone through my body. But yeah, it’s true and real and I hope Drake’s lookalikes are ready 🔥 LETSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Saturday’s lookalike contest was won by a fan who wore braids like Drake’s seen sporting in October and a painted beard, according to a video shared by the bakery.
