Democratic representative says we need illegal immigrants to do jobs that Americans will not do

Democratic party rising star Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texasargued that Americans need illegal immigrants because they do the work that the college-educated in this country will not do.

Crockett reportedly made the comments while speaking at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival on March 8.

In a video clip that went viral on Friday, Crockett made the point that Americans do not send their children to university in the hope that they will eventually pick up washed and clean hotel rooms, but that is what illegal immigrants do.

“How many of you send your children to the university?” Crockett asked the crowd. “How many of you send your children to the university to work on the farms?”

After no response, Crockett added: “Okay, so guess who works the farms so that you can afford your food so that you can have food.”

The Congressman continued to show her that Americans do not want their university -educated children to provide these services and goods.

“Now, how many of you want to send your children to hospitality after this university education, so that they can make the beds at the hotels?” she asked.

“How many of you are planning to send your children to the university – because that is what we do, we send everyone to the university – how many of you are planning to send your children to the university so that they can build these houses?” She went on.

“So the reality is, as long as we live in a capitalist society, there will always be someone, or a group of people who will do work that some of the rest of you do not want to do,” said Crockett.

“These are the people who really make us great in this country. They pay to taxes. And guess what? They cannot withdraw social security. So to let people go and focus on them, that is not what makes us great,” she concluded.

Crockett was on stage with journalist CoercionEditor of the 19th news. Haines posted the clip earlier this week on its social media before this Friday was again gained on X, where it viewed more than 1 million times in four hours.
