When White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced at the start of President Donald TrumpThe second term that new and independent media would be invited to play a major role in handling the administration, the collective eye roll from traditional media was just as immediately as it was condescending.
We all remember Trump’s first term, when his press conferences have often been transferred to full contact sport, with former CNN correspondent Jim Acosta who struggles a female white house assistant for the microphone, for example, in the midst of constant “Gotcha”.

The Snarky back and forth of the media created entertainment in those days, but much more heat than light. The White House press in the first term of Trump always looked to expose Trump for this or that, but almost never to really understand the policy of the administration.
There were of course exceptions, such as your favorite cable news network, whose correspondents of the White House play it in the middle, regardless of who is in function. But in general Trump was confronted with a daily inquisition, while his successor, President Biden, more or less received a free pass during his terrible four years as president.

Nowadays, the addition of independent points of sale such as Epoch News, De Post Millennial, OAN and others has transformed the press availability of Trump from a hacklling screaming competition, in a substantive, almost daily discussion about the actions and priorities of the administration.
With the exemption from the Recalcitrant Associated Press, which has decided to die strangely on the hill of defending the name “Gulf of Mexico”, all old Trump -haters from the New York Times to NBC News are still in the room; They just don’t completely dominate it anymore.
If you now listen to a news conference with Trump, in contrast to five years ago, you will not get away with the impression that he is a kind of pariah who hates everyone and thinks it’s a liar. We have a full spectrum of media there and it has brought the process nearby, but there are still difficult questions.
Throw the new, mostly conservative media in the White House somewhat softball? Certainly. Are the online thanking for Leavitt for opening the room a little saccharine? Certainly.
But compared to what? A regular media who just nodded as a former spokesperson for the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, told that Biden was fit like a violin and she was a very important historical figure? Save me.

Unfortunate Minister of White House Pers Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre covered for Biden and the Legacy Media has never printed her, says David Marcus .. (White House)
The fact is that the points of sale such as the daily caller or even the war chamber of Steve Bannon are no longer biased on the right than NPR, a long -term staple in the Oval Office, is biased on the left, nor are they abnormal. Even Super Leftwing California Gov. Gavin Newson just had Bannon on his new podcast.
For four years we had a press corps of the White House that, with the exception of Fox News and Real Clear Politics, ran for Biden and KJP. Even Jake Tapper from CNN is now out with a book, in fact apologizing for the terrible reporting of the liberal media about Grandpa Joe.
So if we all admit that the press has done the American people a terrible bad service with his one -sided and farcical coverage of Biden, how can we complain that both sides of the American political gap are now represented in the Chamber?
Seventy percent of Americans do not trust journalism today, and for extremely good reasons as described above. I am a journalist and even I don’t trust journalism. But this fresh approach to the White House can be a step to restore a certain level of trust.

Americans know when they only get one side of the story, we have a fundamental sense of honesty that ranking when we see the powerful put a thumb on the scale, and by inviting all the perspectives in the room, the White House enables us to weigh freely and honest arguments.
I came to independent conservative media and wrote for points of sale, including the Federalist and the Daily Wire, who have relentless obligations to honesty. Of course they belong in the White House and everyone is better off for their presence there.

To turn an old saying upside down: “If it is brutal, repair it”, and the reporting of the news media about the White House has been poorly broken for years, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, these new and previously banished voices in the Oval Office are exactly what we need to repair it.
