Former Gop congress woman Liz Cheney was torn by conservatives on social media after she had defended her earlier work on USAID, that in recent days it became the most prominent target of Doge, in an exchange on X that caught the attention of Doge’s leader, Elon Musk.

Musk had written ‘Interesting’ in response to a message from Foundation for Freedom Online Executive Director Mike Benz, who had written that Cheney from USAID was “continued”, with reference to her previous position as an officer for controversial and now apparently closed desk.
Cheney spent time at USAID works within embassies with regard to efforts in Poland, Hungary, Russia and Ukraine.

The online debate about the time of Cheney comes to USAID after Musk’s doge efforts have led to the fact that the agency is effectively concluded about what the Trump government argues, wasteful expenditure.

The future of USAID remains unclear, although the doors to the head office were closed on Monday and thousands of employees around the world were waiting to hear if they still had jobs after the apparent Musk takeover.
State Secretary Marco Rubio has been appointed acting director and he agreed on Monday with the White House that the agency needed an overhaul.
“The president made me the acting manager,” he told Fox News. “I have delegated that power to someone who is full -time, and we will continue the same process at USAID if we continue at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
