The annual awards ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on January 12, but was postponed to January 26 after Santa Ana winds caused multiple fires that spread across much of Los Angeles. The fires destroyed businesses, schools and homes, forcing thousands to evacuate the region and claiming at least 25 lives.
Deadline it was later reported that the ceremony had been postponed a second time to February, although the exact date has not yet been revealed.
There were several celebrities affected by the firesinclusive Adam Brodywhich earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Netflix Nobody wants that. The show won a total of four awards, including Best Comedy Series and Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Kristen Bell.
