It will not bypass the line as it is now with the two -section jump directly to a global match against Alvarez. This is so unfair. It should not be allowed to occur if boxing has been adjusted.
Crawford is allowed to do a shortcut at the top to build a pseudo-head and is not genuine. In other sports, you need to win your way into the big game. You don’t miss out on the finals or Super Bowl without having a season. What Crawford did on 154, 147, 140 and 135 did not give him the right to challenge Canelo for the three titles of Super Middleweight.
Unproven at 168
No one would have a problem with Crawford moving and struggling for a world title if he worked through his development to hit the top candidates. If he were to move up and defeat the #1 press, he would show that he wins the race and not just hunger for money. Turki Alalshikh would have told Crawford that he had to beat two or three top children in 168 to get this Canelo match.
The problem with this is that Crawford will lose to all the top candidates. It will not beat Osleys Iglesias, Christian Mbilli or Diego Pacheco. These fighters will hit chips from Crawford, leaving him in broken pieces on the canvas.
