College Basketball: No. 7 Alabama defeats no. 1 Auburn on overtime zoemer-beater


The NCAA -Tournament Is around the corner, but madness has already begun.

No. 7 Alabama Auburn, 93-91, defeated on the top, on the road with an overtime Zoemer-Beater on Saturday in a regular season finale.

Mark Sears drove to the paint and hit a Dloater when the clock went to give the Crimson Tide a huge victory. Sears only had nine points, but he scored the most important two.

Dick Vitale was called up and delivered his patented “Are you serious?” Vitale returned to the temporary employment cabin this season after fighting cancer.

It was a sweet revenge for Bama, who lost last month to the Tigers, 94-85, on their home field.

The game was a nail biter all the way, without the lead over double digits. The biggest lead of the afternoon was an eight -point advantage that held the Karmozijnrode tide with about 10 minutes to go, but it was quickly deleted.

John Broome Save a three for Auburn With 15 seconds left over time to bind the game to 91, but Sears made the best to let the ball last. Broome ended with a game-high 34 points.

After losing only two of their first 29 games, the Tigers lost two straight ahead. Earlier this week they dropped a competition on the road to Texas A&M.
