Manchester United fans have received more picture of 17 -year -old striker Chido Obi, who has presented four first team games since last month.
Obi arrived from Arsenal in September with a huge reputation at youth level for his productive goal. United has met that with 12 goals in nine appearances across the Premier League and the FA Youth Cup.
He was promoted to the group under 21 in January, before joining the upper side in February.
During this international break, OBI played his first two games for the Danish under 21-year-old team, who appears as a substitute for friends against Poland and Italy-and both end in draws.
Obi is up to five years younger than some of his teammates and those who fell, but managed to impress coach Steffen Hojer.
“He’s a very young man. He was there to learn and we had him with us to evaluate him,” Hojer told Danish Publication Bladet tips. “It makes a good impression and I was extremely happy to see how it was adapted to the team and how the boys welcomed him.
“He had a very good trip and he has shown well. Now, he is back home to keep working Manchester United And to see if it can take a little more play time there. ”
Discussing OBI’s particular abilities as striker, Hojer refers to a clinical order and a sense of position.
“What you hope with a player like him is that he gets this opportunity, because his ultimate basic power is in the box and putting the ball into the net,” the coach explained.
“This opportunity didn’t come, but he came in and worked with the team in a difficult situation, so you couldn’t really expect much more than him.”
