According to US Weekly, Nicks said that there was ‘no path ahead’ for Fleetwood Mac after the death of Christine.

Fleetwood agreed with Nicks.

“It was more expected to lose Chris. So that was another version of it,” he told the outlet. “And for me, only Stevie or Lindsay or if it was Chris, they could really function alone. It is hard to do that, and you bang a drum yourself.”

Prior to the death of Christine, Fleetwood was hopeful that the band would come together again.

“I miss playing as much as before. I hope that next year, somehow, a band will say somewhere, come and play with drums or something,” he said. “So I always like to do what I can do to work on an album that we can tour with it next year. I don’t know, (but) not Fleetwood Mac.”
