CNN Pollster suggests a better way to assess ‘reality’ of Trump’s popularity

CNN Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten offered viewers a “reality check” on Tuesday from President Donald Trump.

While the media Focuses on protests of the doge cuts of the Trump government and enforcement of immigration, Americans seem to approve more for the president.

Trump’s net preferred assessment remains negative, but Etten suggested looking at the poll in a different way to explain Trump’s figures that are historically underestimated.

“I think it is sometimes important to do a bit of a reality check and take a little other twist with the figures,” said Enten. “Because all we are talking about is how unpopular Donald Trump is, but in reality he is in fact more popular than he was one and more popular in time than when he won the elections in November 2024.”

Harry Enten talks about Polling

Harry Enten suggested that the poll of the trust of the voters that America is on the right track is perhaps the best indicator of Trump’s popularity.

“I think it is very important to compare him with himself, to understand that he is actually more popular than when he won, or certainly where he was back on this point in his first term,” said Enten. According to his total figures, Trump now has a net preferred rating of -4 compared to -7 when he won in November, and -10 by the start of his first term in March 2017.

“So if you compare Trump with himself, he is actually closer to the top than he is to the bottom of the trough. And of course that is so important because Donald Trump has underestimated his songs historically,” he said.

Grafting argued that another statistics is even more revealing Where Trump is standing with the American people.

“Let’s look at the percentage of the country that says we are on the right track. It is actually a very high percentage when you compare it to a number of historical figures,” he said.

“According to Marist, 45% say that we are on the right track. That is the second highest that Marist has measured since 2009. What about NBC News? Forty -four percent, that’s the highest since 2004,” he said. “It comes down to the percentage of Americans that says we are on the right track, through the roof.”

“The Bottom Line is, yes, Donald Trump’s The approval classification is lower than compared to many of its predecessors, but it is higher compared to himself, “in summaries.” Many people say that the country is on the right track, and the generic congress stallot seems a lot more like when Republicans win than when Democrats win. “
