Echeverri has finally joined the city team after finishing his spell with the boyhood club river plate.
The Premier League champions signed the 19 -year -old in January 2024, but allowed him to lend to a river until last month.
And the club has great hopes for the attacker Midfielder, who shone for Argentina in the under -South American championship.

“We wanted to become a Manchester City player”
BeGiristain told the club’s official website: “Claudio is one of the best talents to come out of South America in recent years.
“We knew as soon as we watched him play. We wanted to become a Manchester City player.
“All the natural elements are there – his touch, the technique, the eye for target skill and dribble. Our job now is to get these features and shape Claudio into a world -class player.
“We will offer him everything he needs to do the best he may be. If he works hard, he listens to Pep (Guardiola) and gives absolutely everything, I see no reason why he can’t become a top player.”
Echeverri Eligible for Premier League action
Echeverri made 48 appearances for the river, marking four times and providing eight assists.
He is now eligible to play for the city for the rest of this Premier League season.

He said: “I can’t tell you how excited I am here in Manchester and eventually be able to name myself a Manchester City player.
“Football was my life and my dream was to play for one of the best teams in Europe. Today I am closer to this dream.
“Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world. They not only win trophies, play the game so beautifully. It’s an example for everyone – they show people how to play football in the best way.
“To be a member of this group and the culture here in the city – and to use it as my base to develop my game – it’s something I’m really excited.
“My family and I are so proud to be here. My focus now is to work as hard as I can in education to show to the manager and his staff I am good enough to be a member of this team.”
